On Tuesday, October 20th, we opened the doors of our Mayville South facility to students from Dodgeland and Horicon High Schools in celebration of Manufacturing Month. The students toured our facility, learned about the products MEC manufactures, and received a first-hand look at the many exciting career opportunities available in manufacturing. After the tours were completed, the students from Dodgeland and Horicon, along with students from several other area high schools, attended a lunch and presentation hosted at John Deere Horicon Works. The eventful day focused on educating high school students about the types of careers available at several local manufacturing companies. It was wonderful to see how many young people were interested in exploring all of the benefits a career in manufacturing has to offer!
We’d like to extend our thanks to the students and teachers of Dodgeland and Horicon High Schools for taking time to learn more about our company. Also, special thanks to the Manufacturing Business Alliance of Dodge County for organizing this fantastic event. We are already looking forward to next year!
