On Tuesday, March 7, we welcomed Mayville High School freshmen back to MEC. The first Tuesday of the month for the next few months, these students are rotating through an in-depth tour, presentation and conversation with MEC managers and supervisors covering each area of our operation. During their most recent visit, the students listened to a presentation focusing on Engineering and Quality, given by Michael Look, Project Engineer and Lee Zimmer, Tooling Supervisor.

As part of the job rotation program, the students will learn what soft skills are important to MEC, what paid training opportunities are available and have detailed discussions about career paths, timelines on advancement as well as pay rates. We have great opportunities available from entry level right out of high school, to skilled trades.

Thank you to the Mayville HS freshmen for visiting. We look forward to seeing you again in April!
