The Mayville area Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Mayville presented Mayville Engineering Company a community Improvement Award for the renovation done on the old Maysteel building on Horicon Street to turn it into a beautiful addition to the City. CEO, President and Chairman Bob Kamphuis stated that “We saw it as an opportunity to polish something up. A lot of things had to come together to get this done. Our people are very proud we could accomplish this.” The redesign of the exterior was done by Robert Hartmann of Raci ne who hand drew the artist’s rendering of the building in two weeks. The older section of the building was completely gutted during the renovation.
