Subject: Tariffs

Dear Valued Supplier Partners,

Mayville Engineering Company (MEC) appreciates and values our partnership and shares a responsibility for helping both enterprises succeed.

Due to the current economic conditions and uncertainty related to tariffs enacted and proposed by the US Government, please use the following guidelines when engaging in discussions with your respective MEC Strategic Sourcing Specialist:

1. MEC’s customers require evidence of tariff increases and are requesting tariffs be billed separately as surcharges.

2. If you are a Tier One supplier to MEC from outside the United States, tariff surcharges should be submitted on your line-item invoices depicting the surcharge by part number and include the HTS code, applicable tariff percentage, and date of entry into the US. If your system cannot accommodate this by part number on “regular” invoices, a separate invoice must be sent monthly as a surcharge invoice depicting part number, HTS code, quantity shipped, tariff percentage, price, and date of entry into the US.

3. If you are a Tier One supplier to MEC from within the United States, but you have raw material originating outside the United States which is impacted by a tariff, you must submit a monthly surcharge invoice depicting HTS code, quantity allocated to MEC business, tariff percentage, price, and date of entry into the US.

4. MEC will not be updating purchase order prices, nor will we be issuing purchase orders for tariff surcharges.

5. Upon request, suppliers must provide unredacted copies of US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Form 7501 validating the claim. Failure to do so will delay payment and subject your company to non-payment of tariff surcharges.

Please know we appreciate your ongoing support and collaboration during this challenging period and remain committed to working together to navigate these economic conditions successfully.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your MEC Strategic Sourcing Specialist.

Sincerely,

Brad Scardino

VP of Supply Chain
