Career Connections Academy

Recently, two of our Weld Engineering Technicians, Todd Bertel and Alex Crimmings, spent two days at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, WI, working with students from area schools. They taught them some welding fundamentals using Lincoln Electric’s VRTEX 360 weld simulators. This was part of an initiative of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, called Career Connections Academy, to expose these students to different career options. The students were excited to try the simulators and improve their scores each time. They had fun competing with each other to see who could score the highest in each group.

This was the 4th year we were invited to participate in this event that allows us to work with the welders of the future!
